Onyeka Akumah is a Nigerian-born entrepreneur and the Founder and CEO of Farmcrowdy, Nigeria’s first digital agriculture platform with a farmers network of over 100,000 individuals and 25,000 of them funded across 16 states in Nigeria.
Prior to Farmcrowdy, Onyeka held several top management positions in high- profile organizations like TravelBeta, Jumia, Wakanow, and Konga. He also worked for Deloitte, The British Council, and Guaranty Trust Bank.
Onyeka was appointed to the E-Agric Stakeholders Forum by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Nigeria, and was also made one of the youngest members of the Honorary Council of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has been featured as one of the top 50 Disruptors of 2020 by The Africa Report and listed as one of the 2020 top 50 Innovators to watch across the globe by the Globe Shakers.
Onyeka won the Entrepreneur of the year award by Gage Awards, has been listed as one of the Top 10 CEOs under 40 and he was recently ranked the 26th most influential young person in Africa. Onyeka currently sits on the Board of leading tech start-ups in New York and Lagos with a keen interest in the Agriculture, Real Estate, and Transportation sectors.
